Acclaim was formed way back in 1984 with the specific purpose of providing technical design and engineering consultancy services to industry, specifically chemical and allied industries. The activities were spearheaded by Chandra “VC” Mohan, a chemical engineer along with a group of experienced chemical engineers. Acclaim has the distinction of having offered technology for implementation of a cold expelled castor oil project in Gujarat and extraction of virgin coconut oil for a project in Sulur, Tamil Nadu for the first time in the country. Over the last decade Acclaim has been working in the area of “green power”, especially biomass gasification based renewable energy projects.
Acclaim has entered into a strategic alliance with ENHANCED BIOFUELS AND TECHNOLOGIES INDIA (P) LTD, who have pioneered cultivation of jatropha curcas and algal biomass and extraction of bio-diesel, to make the project more viable by integrating with gasifiers for conversion of the plant pruning to thermal energy / power.
Acclaim has also associated with THE INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE, BANGALORE, which is one of the leading technology and research institute in India, for the technology for gasification and bio-methanation. Through this arrangement Acclaim has access to any improvements/developments being made from time to time.
